Night Life

If you still have some energy left after your day on the lake, hiking, or whatever fun activities you did, and you’re looking for a little night time entertainment, we have plenty of things to choose from nearby. Of course there are plenty of Sports and Dive bars around, I’ve already mentioned The Owl, and Chuck’s, and right down the street from Serenity is Harpoon Willy’s, but if your in the mood for something a little different then here are a few of my favorite places:

Jack Rabbit Fizz

One of my very favorite cocktail lounges is just a short hop over into Elkhorn. Jack Rabbit Fizz is an eclectic mix of Art Studio and comfy lounge with a great soundtrack and terrific cocktails made the old fashioned way; using house-made ingredients and served by very attentive bartenders. It’s a great place to hangout with friends, relax and get pampered by the bar staff.

Located at 11 E. Walworth St in Elkhorn, JRF is open Wednesday through Saturday from 7pm until 1 or 2 am. On Sunday they open at 10 am for Bloody Mary’s.

Fat Cat’s

If you are in Lake Geneva, another favorite cocktail lounge is the newly renovated Fat Cat’s, which started as a dive bar but has transformed into a retro 70’s style lounge with artfully crafted cocktails, cozy lounge seating and live music just steps from the lake.

104 Broad St in Lake Geneva. Open every day from 4pm til 2:00am

Lake Geneva Billiard Club

Our newest late night offering is the Lake Geneva Billiard Club which recently opened in the lower level of The Landmark Building in downtown Lake Geneva. It’s a quant little hall with 3 pool tables, a full bar and a kitchen serving pizza’s and snacks. You can join a game, rent a table for your group or get involved in league play. They are open every day. Check their website for more details.

772 West Main St. in Lake Geneva

Bar One Nineteen

If you like exclusivity and modern cool places to discover, you may want to try and get into Bar One Nineteen. It’s a Speakeasy with exclusive entry for members, and those “in the know” or just clever enough to figure out how to get in. It’s in the basement of Boxed and Burlap in Delavan, and it can only be accessed through a phone booth, using a secret code. But it’s worth the effort; a nice, comfortable modern bar with great cocktails mixed up by knowledgeable bartenders, and the same delicious food you can get upstairs. It’s cozy and there are no TV’s to break the attention away from your party.

If you want to try and gain access, you’ll need to either follow them on Instagram (@speakeasy_119) or look for clues on their website or you can try speaking to one of their barristas. They are open Friday and Saturday from 4 to midnite.

230 E Walworth St., Delavan

Niche @ Night

I’ve mentioned Niche as a good coffee house to go in the mornings, but at night they turn it up with live music, comedy and Happy Hour Events. My favorite thing about Niche is they have individual wine dispensers that allow you to have just a taste, or a full glass of your choice of wine. It’s great way to treat yourself to a taste testing.

They are located at 715 Hunt Club Drive Unit C. Check out their website for more details.

Belfrey Music Theater

Live music in an intimate setting is what the Belfrey Music Theater is all about. They bring in tribute acts for all of your favorite performers, and you see them in a beautiful space that was built for live events with great sound. And best of all, they are right around the corner from Serenity at 3601 WI-67

Check their website for the latest schedule.

Lake Geneva Clue Room

I like playing games and my favorites are the challenging ones, so I was pretty happy to find Lake Geneva’s only Escape Room. And I have to say, these are very well designed escape games that are fun to try and figure out. They have several different themed rooms rated at different skill levels, so no matter what your group is up for, you should be able to have quite a bit of fun trying to unravel the mystery that will lead you out of the room. They are located in Downtown Lake Geneva at 772 W. Main St. Check out their website for more info.

Studio Winery

The Lake Geneva Distillery and Studio Winery is a lot of things: a live Art Studio, a music venue, spirits distillery and vineyard. They only sell their own wines and spirits, and the entertainment is almost as local. One of the owners is a painter and you will likely catch her putting paint to canvas right in the bar, and the other owner is a musician and he will occasionally be on stage with his band. It’s a fun, sometimes raucous night out, and it’s pure Lake Geneva. The music is live nightly from 5 until 9.

Visit the Studio Winery at 401 Sheridan Springs Road, Lake Geneva

Bowling

If Bowling is your thing there are two bowling alleys nearby:

Lake Geneva Lanes is a 12 lane Bowling Alley with all the amenities you would expect; there is a pro shop, a bar and grill and even some video games.

The Ten Pin Pub is a nostalgic eight-lane bowling alley with great food and a fun atmosphere in Walworth around the westside of the lake. 121 Kenosha Street.
